Random Cute Pictures

Not a happy camper here at all! But, still, as cute as a button!

Bobby has an addiction. "Hello, my name is Bobby, and I'm addicted to my pacifier!"

Daddy and Munchkin snoozing on the sofa!

Bobby's First Play Date

Bobby had his very first play date on Saturday night!

Bob and I have some great friends, Bart and Amy, that we adore! They recently had a sweet baby boy, Drew. Drew and Bobby are 6 weeks apart. Here are some pictures from the evening...

Drew had just finished eating. His mom calls this his "milk coma" look :-) Bobby was busy being social, and sucking on his paci.

Here, Drew is saying the Pledge of Allegiance. Bobby is thinking, "Gawsh, please stop taking my picture! I am trying to learn the pledge from Drew!"

Here are the cute dads getting the boys ready for the picture! It was like the paparazzi.

Amy, Drew's mommy made a funny statement the other day... She said that having a baby is like living in the movie Groundhog Day. Except, we are doing the same thing every 3 hours, instead of every day. Those babies sure do like to eat!

Grandma and Grandpa Lee

As I mentioned a couple of days ago, my parents recently visited. It was so wonderful to have them visit again! Last time they were here, I felt so hormonal, and sleep deprived. This visit was much better. We didn't do too much, because honestly, what can you do with a 2 month old baby? Ha ha! But, we did make a point of getting out of the house each day. My mom and I got pedicures, and we went out to dinner one night. And, of course, we ran some errands. My mom and I took Bobby to Wal-Mart for the first time. He was bright-eyed and bushy tailed for this outing. It was probably stimulation overload for him - ha!

Here is Grandpa with Bobby on the front porch.

Grandma and Bobby getting some good snuggle time in! My mom was great at taking Bobby when he was screaming, and calming him down :-)

Thanks Mom and Dad for all your help!

And, Happy Birthday to my oldest brother Chuck today!

We love you all! xoxoxo

Two Months Old

Bobby turned Two months old on June 30, 2009

Weight: Will add after 2 month check-up tomorrow!
Sleeping Patterns: Not quite sleeping through the night yet. Last feeding is usually around 10pm. He wakes up between 2 - 3am normally, and then will sleep until 5 - 6am. We are anxiously awaiting when he will sleep thru the night.
Eating Habits: Eats on average 4 oz. per feeding. He is not taking as long to eat these days either.
New discoveries & Accomplishments: Cooing a lot lately, and has started to smile. He smiled for the first time at 7 weeks. He is also really starting to like his bouncy seat. He does not like his swing, but hopefully this will change. He is also holding his head up very well. He is almost holding it fully by himself.
Places you love: Sitting on the front porch with mommy every day. We sit outside in the rocking chair or front stoop waiting for daddy to get home from work. Loves being in the Baby Bjorn with Bob (but not mommy). Likes riding in his car seat in the stroller and car.
Special Friends: Drew Wilder, Bobby's first play date pal.
Current Events: Michael Jackson dies, recession still in the crapper.
What We did This Day: We went for a walk on the trail with Amy, Drew, Katie (their dog), and Winston. Mommy and Bobby also went to the mall. Daddy had to work. :-( Bobby did great for both outings. He slept during the walk, and some at the mall. He is ALWAYS looking around!

Monday, Monday

We've had a busy past few weeks here in the Ross household. First, Bob's aunt and uncle from Maryland came for a visit. It was great to spend time with them. The last time we saw Deed and Marna was at our wedding, and it was way too hectic to really spend time with them.

Then, the very next day, my parents came back to visit for the week. It was great having them here again, and a lot less stressful this time around. I have some pictures to upload from their visit, plus Bobby's first play date with his friend Drew.

Until then...

As of this coming Sunday, there is only 3 months until football season starts! I always start anticipating it when it gets really HOT during the summer. I grew up with college football every Saturday in my parents' house. I can just smell the boiled peanuts now.

Go Gators!

Of course, everyone knows the SEC is the toughest conference out there!

I'll post some pictures soon...

Bob's 2nd Triathlon

Bob participated in his 2nd triathlon on Saturday. It was held at Oak Mountain State Park, and it was sponsored by the Alabama State Games. Bobby and I were able to come out and support him, and we had a blast. Of course, Bobby slept the entire time. :-) Bob did great, and placed 3rd in his age group. We were so proud of our daddy!

Here are some pictures that I took. I am an awful photographer, and these are all action shots too. So, they are not very good.

I'm Back!

After a fun week with my sister, and in-law's... the Ross Family is back!

My sister Kathy came into town from Orlando last week. It was great having her here. She seemed quite smitten with our neighborhood, and kept commenting that she wanted to move here! :-) She was a HUGE help! We ran errands all over the place. I always try to see if I can bring someone with me to a new place (like Bed, Bath, and Beyond, for example) to see if I can handle the errand with or without help. Anyhow, we went there, Target, my doctor, my work, and out to lunch. We got caught up on some chick flicks, and trashy reality TV shows. And, she cooked a couple of nights, and made sure I had lunch each day. She also helped with the housekeeping. And, she cleaned up to my standards! Ha ha! So,

Thank You Kathy!!!

Bob's parents also came in this weekend. Bob participated in his first sprint triathlon. He did great! He finished under his goal (which was 1:30), with a time of 1 hour, 21 minutes, 29 seconds. I'm so proud of him! He's doing another one this weekend. Bobby and I wanted to watch, but the weather was horrendous that morning. Hopefully we'll get to see him this weekend. It's always so much harder to plan outings with a baby. Click here to see pictures of Bob, taken by his dad.

Bob's dad also took some family and newborn pictures of us this weekend at our house. Here is one of my favorites! I think I may use this shot for Bobby's birth announcements. I can't believe he is only 6 weeks old in this picture. He looks so much older to me. He's growing like a weed! I swear, sometimes after he naps, I look at him and think he grew during his nap! I'll post more pictures later of our family. They are currently online, but still need to be cropped and what-not. :-)

Thanks Grandpa Ross for such great pictures! And, thanks to Grandma Ross for all the help!

M.I.A

My sister is in town visiting, so I will most likely be M.I.A for a few days. She arrived yesterday, and has been great thus far. It, of course, is also wonderful to spend time with her.

Check back soon!

A Lifetime Ago

The weekend before we had Bobby, Bob and I headed up to Tacoma, Washington for a quick trip. Bob's best friend Jeremy, celebrated his 30th birthday, and we were there to join in on the fun. It feels like that trip was a lifetime ago! We had a great time, and enjoyed seeing Jeremy, and spending time with his family, and girlfriend Melissa. We also were able to see Lathrop, another of Bob's good friends from his childhood.

Here are some pictures from the trip:

Jeremy, the birthday boy, with his girlfriend Melissa. This was taken at brunch the next morning, after Jer's Surprise 30th Party. The Puget Sound is the body of water in the background.

Bob and Jeremy.
If you were at our wedding, you'll recognize Jeremy as Bob's Best Man, who had the crowd howling with laughter during his speech.

Bob and I.
I was 34 weeks pregnant here. Little did I know, that we'd meet our son just 4 days later!

This was taken at the party.

Lathrop, Bob, and Jeremy - best buds.

The Neighbors Might Think I'm Crazy...

Or, they might thank me.

So, often times, there are days where I don't quite make it out of my pj's. Today was one of those days. And, when that happens, my getting "out" of the house consists of me hanging out on our front porch rocking Bobby. I love these moments...

But, today... well, today was another story. I was a bit psychotic.

You see, we sometimes have people who think they are speed demons driving down our street. I was outside with Bobby long enough for him to fall asleep in my arms. And, lo and behold, this man comes speeding down our street. I forget that I am holding my sleeping baby in my arms (mind you, still in my pj's, no make-up, and hair a mess. Basically, I was one hot mess). So, I jump up and scream at the top of my lungs "Slow Down!!!"

Not more than 5 minutes later, a man driving a Beamer (who is not speeding), drives by, smiles and waves at me (nice gesture). What do I do? I yell, "You ran that stop sign!"

Oh Lord. I have become one of those people.

I guess that's what having a kid will do to ya!
