Gone beachin'

We are at the beach for the week, so I'm on a hiatus (of course I am...)! It is fantastic, as I have just "enough" technology to stay connected for the week. Our condo has Wifi, but we have no cell service here.

Bobby's First Shiner?!?

Ok, I'm exaggerating here...

This so-called "shiner" really isn't too close to his eye. But, it broke my heart to see Bobby with this bruise on his face for a few days. It was due to a slip and fall at the pool a few weeks ago. He was in the baby pool, and lost his balance. He slipped and hit his face on the edge. Needless to say, there was some major consoling done that moment by mommy. He now has his first scrape on his arm. This too is also due to a fall at the pool.

Oh, that pool!!!

Guys Weekend

Bob went to Chattanooga this weekend to compete in an Olympic distance triathlon. With Chattanooga being just over 2 hours from Birmingham (who knew?!?), he left yesterday, late morning. Bobby and I are eagerly awaiting his return, to see how he did! He went with his friend Bart, and is competing with a lot of his training buddies from The Vulcan Tri Club.

Speaking of Bob, and triathlons, I wanted to share what Bob received for Father's Day this year.

First, the awesome gift wrapping job I did...

I spent a good 45 minutes during one of Bobby's naps wrapping his gift with a Runners World magazine.

I framed the race poster from his Half-Ironman triathlon down in Panama City, and had three photos of him included (swim, bike, run). Joanne Fabrics did the professional framing.

Checking In

Hello everyone!

It's been almost a month since my last post, and we've definitely kept busy. The main reason for my blog hiatus, was due to the fact that I was without a laptop from June 19th - June 30th! Yikes! The reason for most of my blog breaks seem to be due to technical difficulties. I could link to a few posts as examples, but I'm being lazy. Oh, and me being lazy is reason #2 for my blog break! Anyhow, we had to actually ship the laptop off to Apple in California this time for repair. And, it shipped back to us during the iPhone 4 release, which caused a few days delay. We've had some big changes occur in the house, which I will blog about soon. We've had company visit, gone out of town ourselves, and all sorts of stuff going on. I've got major catching up to do, and it will happen soon. Until then, take care!
