Bobby's First Shiner?!?

Ok, I'm exaggerating here...

This so-called "shiner" really isn't too close to his eye. But, it broke my heart to see Bobby with this bruise on his face for a few days. It was due to a slip and fall at the pool a few weeks ago. He was in the baby pool, and lost his balance. He slipped and hit his face on the edge. Needless to say, there was some major consoling done that moment by mommy. He now has his first scrape on his arm. This too is also due to a fall at the pool.

Beachside (and, a little bit of poolside) Fun!

(I'm still playing catch-up with my blogging, but I'm almost there!)

During our vacation, we spent most of our free time at the beach. And, a little bit of time poolside. We are definitely more beach bums! We stayed at the Emerald Beach Resort, and throughly enjoyed our stay there! I've got family with a condo, so it was a no-brainer for us to bunk up there.

After realizing the first day that Bobby would not nap in the condo (our room was too bright); we coordinated our beach time with his nap time.

The banana was our snack of choice during the vacation. It was the easiest, and least messiest to take with us, and to give Bobby on the go!

Pool Time with the Wilder's!

Bob and I hung out with Bart, Amy, and Drew this past Saturday. We first headed to the pool, late in the afternoon, and then headed back to our house for some dinner. We had a lot of fun, and it was so nice at the pool during that part of the day. It cooled down a bit (as much as it can for August), and the pool emptied out little by little. Next time, we are going to bring our dinner to the pool, so we can enjoy it until dusk. As always, we had a blast with the Wilder family. We have become very close to them since our boys were born. I definitely consider Amy to be "my Amy," (insert inside joke here).

Splish Splash

On Saturday, Bob and I met some of our neighbors at the pool for some good food, and swimming. There are 4 families that we have gotten to know since moving in, and all of us have babies that are 7 months or younger. We all decided to bring the babies to the pool for an early evening swim. It was Bobby's first time in the pool, and he loved it! I didn't have any doubts though - he loves the bathtub.

Ava is the oldest, born in December, and Kayla is the youngest, born a week after Bobby.

First Trip to the Pool

On Saturday, Bob, Bobby, Mike Cooley (our friend visiting from Orlando), and myself headed up to the pool. We were there in the late afternoon, as it was less crowded, and hot. It was Bobby's first trip, and we are hoping to go there quite a bit this summer.

Here is our neighbor Jonathan with his baby, Harper. Bobby and Harper will be best of friends, I'm sure. Harper is 8 weeks older than Bobby. I thought this was a great picture with Jonathan smiling so proudly!

Of course the boys get to enjoy the sun and booze! Isn't this how it always works out with us moms? Ha ha! Nick is our neighbor across the street on the left. He and his wife Volree are expecting a little boy in September. Bob is in the center, and our friend Mike is on the right.

More... Oldies, but Goodies

Our house we left behind in Florida. Isn't it neat-o mosquito? It's still our's, currently being rented out.

Winston came into our lives in May of 2005.

He was such a cute puppy!

We introduced Winston to our pool early. He is quite the swimmer now. I do miss our pool, more for his sake, than our own.

The Park and Pool

These two pictures are of the park and pool. Again, they were drive-by, so not very good quality. The pool and park are side by side, basically in the middle of the neighborhood. You can't tell by the picture, but next to the playground, there is a large open green space. This will be great for Winston to practice his Frisbee skills!
