Flashback Friday

Oh, how I looked forward to my Highlights magazine each month. I'm glad the publication is still around today.

My American Girls doll, Kirsten Larson was my absolute favorite! My sister, and our neighbors played "house" ALL THE TIME with these dolls. My sister had Samantha. These are HUGE now. If you're ever in Atlanta, check out the American Girls Store. It is oh so much fun. You can even bring your doll and have her hair done.

I don't think I really even liked the way my Benetton Colors smelled, but I HAD to have it, because all my friends did. I remember this was one of the gifts I received in 6th grade for being confirmed at church.

Shirt Tails! I loved this cartoon, amongst many, many more. I hope some of you remember it, because whenever I have brought it up in the past, no one seems to have a memory of it. I believe it was televised on USA Cartoon Express.

TGIF! This night was my favorite night of the week for TV watching. My sister and I would often go next door to watch the shows and eat pizza with the Brown's. Man, Uncle Jesse still looks good today!

Did you have any of these items? Did you watch any of these shows? What are some of your flashbacks from the past?

How do I say this?

When I find a product I like, or dislike, I want to share it with my readers. Do I even have readers? LOL....  Anyhow, since working at Fleet Feet, I have noticed that I now have a bit of a sweat problem.  I've never been much of a "sweat-er" before, but I find myself coming home, and seeing pit stains. Am I grossing you out yet? If you have this problem, I suggest the above.  I have seen it at Publix for about $8.00.  It is quite pricey.  I bought some at Sam's, and it was $12.00, which included two sticks, and a travel-sized one.  Good deal.  I no longer have those pesky stains, but it hasn't completely covered the odor.  In my opinion, the stains are the lesser of the two evils.

What to watch, what to watch?

Double Eviction Night?

Or,

North Carolina State vs. South Carolina

If my husband has anything to do with this decision, we'll be watching SEC football. Go North Carolina State!!! We don't particularly care for those "cocks." Anyhow, thank goodness for DVR. Maybe we can squeeze in Big Brother during half-time!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Happy Birthday Mom!
Happy Belated Birthday Mom! (don't worry, I won't tell your age....we wouldn't want people jealous of you just turning 40!)

Here's my mom and dad this past summer in Miami.

My mom is always the life of every party. She's a beautiful, strong, wonderful woman who has overcome so much in her life! She has a mother who is just as strong. They say we are all crazy Cuban women, but I think that's ok. Mom is the best cook, and can entertain like it's no one's business! She was my own personal wedding planner, and could start her own business. She has two sisters, four children, 2 daughter-in-laws, 1 son-in-law, 6 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, 2 grand dogs, and of course, dear old dad. She loves to go to the movies with her best girlfriend Marie. My mom loves stamping, Bunco, and reading in bed. She is happiest when she's with her family. She's been with the same job for years, and has a great group of work friends. She has been walking with Bettie for years now. Mom was always the room mother growing up in school, the scout leader, and the team mom. She supported all of her children in whatever activities they pursued.

Overall, I could not have asked for a better mom! I love you!

House Progression, continued

August 17, 2008

Very bad lighting, this is the future "man room." Notice Winston is in this picture!

And, that's all folks :( Yes, I know... you wanted more? Our camera died after these pictures. We still have not found the charger. Joye, Bob, did we happen to leave it in Peachtree City one weekend? Funny thing, we think Winston just knew this was his house. He trotted around like he owned the place. I was a nervous wreck though, with it being a construction site.

We did go back again this past Sunday. Our other camera died as well, and we cannot find that charger either. I also cannot figure out how to import those pictures. For some reason, our memory stick adapter does not want to work for that particular card.

Grrrr......

Ok, off to the vet for pup.
