Bobbyisms

Not only does sweet Bobby resemble me; but, apparently, we sleep the same way.

Taken last Mother's Day, at the lake.
Bobby said the other day to me, "Daddy was Bobby when he was little.  Then, he got big, and was called Bob.  Now, he's Daddy."

Says, "dude, cray cray," all the time.  He also calls everyone, a Pizza Maker.  I have NO IDEA where that one came from.  He asks to eat pizza nightly for dinner.  He has started saying, "May I please have (milk, etc...)?  He is learning what good "words" are (manners).

He's really into Lego's lately, building sets with his daddy.  He still loves to play with his Hot Wheel/Matchbox cars, train table, and Batman.

He weighs 35 lbs, and is wearing a size 12 shoe (although, I would bet he needs to move up in size!). He's also in 4T clothes, but the tops are big, and the pants are starting to inch up.  He's just so skinny!

He still enjoys school, but decided to discontinue Kindermusik.  It made me sad!  He has been clingy to me lately, and seems to be going thru a shy spell.  He is all about Evie, and he loves playing with her.  He is also the same way toward Winston.  Loves dancing, playing chase, and snuggling.

Favorite TV shows:  Chuggington, Doc McStuffins, and Sofia the First.

Evie's Shenanigans

It's been drizzly, misty, and rainy most of today.  And, with no school for Bobby, and no errands to be run - we've been stuck inside most of the day.  We were able to go for a two mile walk, after the weather dried up.

But, now - I feel like I'm just watching the clock, to start cooking dinner.  This is the time of day that drags always.  Even on those busy days... hurry up, Daddy.  Come home!

Here's what my rascal, daredevil, 13 month old has been up to today:

My little climber.  Who knows where those car keys could've ended up?!?  (Oh, and please excuse our shade on the window.  One of my kids ripped it!)

Caught her sitting in her toy bin.  She so reminds me of my niece, Alexis in this picture!

Running around in her green cap.

Monkeys jumping on the bed.
Oh, and please excuse the awesome quality of my iPhone pics!

Lee/Galvez/Castro Thanksgiving Photo Session

For the second time, in 4 years, my mother's side of the family all got together for Thanksgiving.  We decided to do a professional shoot; with all the new babies, and fiancés/girlfriends.

I'll add my family's new pictures to my menu button "Family Photos," up top.

Seriously, I think this family likes to reproduce!

We'll start with my family - the Rosses.
These pictures will look familiar to you, if you got a Christmas card from us! :)

Me, Evie (1 years old), Bob, and Bobby (3 1/2 years old.)

Now, to break it down more easily...

Here's a picture of my grandmother (the matriarch), and her three daughters.

Gloria (the baby), my Abuela, Marilu (middle child), and my mom (the first-born.)
So, the Castro clan is in white, Galvez in red, and Lee in black.  Abuela is sporting all three colors.  I love that!

Up next... the Lee family.

In a nutshell, it's my parents (front and center), my brother Chuck & wife (4 kids), my brother Mike & wife (4 kids), us (2 kids), and my sister and fiance.  Whew...

Here's my parents with their 10 grandchildren:

Top Row:  Andrew (9), Matthew (11), Victoria (14), Meagan (13)
Bottom Row:  Ashley (12), Dad, Mom holding Ava (4), Evie (1), Alexis, (6),  Abby (8), and Bobby (3).

Each family was able to get pictures, just like the Lee's.

Here's a group shot of Abuela, with all of her great-grandchildren.  All 19 of them!

And, one final shot of EVERYONE!!!

I bet the photographer needed a big glass of wine, when she was done with this session! Ha!

Evie is One Year Old

Evie turned Twelve months old on November 29, 2012.

Weight:  22.2 lbs. (70%)
Length:  29.5 inches (70%)
Clothes/Diaper: 12-18 months/Size 4 diapers/Size 4 shoes

Sleeping Patterns:  Evie is still a great sleeper.  She sleeps at least 11 hours a night.  She's in bed between 6:00-7:00pm.  She is napping twice a day, and I don't think she's dropping to one nap anytime soon.  Her morning nap is typically the longer of the two.

Eating Habits:  Evie is drinking whole milk now.  She'll have milk in a sippy cup once per day, and then milk in a bottle 2 to 3 times per day.  She is pretty good with all kinds of sippy cups, but will not necessarily drink her milk, unless it is in a bottle.  She is a pretty good eater, and will usually eat well at least twice a day.  She loves to snack, and especially loves to mooch off of anyone!  She loves to sit on her daddy's lap every morning and eat cereal with him.

Milestones:   Evie is busy, and my little daredevil.  She is a lot more mischievous, then Bobby was at this age.  She climbs everywhere!  New this month:  loves to climb stairs, play chase, playing with her "girl" toys (kitchen, tea set, etc..), clapping to music, ride-on toys, and taking more of an interest in books.  New words: bye-bye.  And, she is really trying to talk.  She's pretty good at communicating, and letting us know what she wants/needs.  Also, Evie and Bobby are playing a lot more easily together now.  He is always asking to play with her, and they are turning into sweet little buddies. Evie has two top teeth now, and two bottom teeth. She is cutting an incisor currently.

Places Evie loves:  Being held!  Evie is still super clingy.  While I know I'll miss this one day - it can definitely wear on me some days.  She loves playing with Bobby, walks in her push-car, and playing at the park.  She hates to be confined, which makes eating out with her difficult.  She will only sit in her highchair for so long.  She loves to explore while out in public.

Special Friends:  Big Brother Bobby, Reid Woodham, and Sam Harris.  They played together this month, while the older kids made gingerbread houses.

Current Events: Fiscal Cliff anxieties, U of AL vs. Notre Dame in BCS National Championship game, and 2nd Amendment debate over gun violence.

What We Did this Day:  Not too much, Bobby, Evie, and Mommy all had colds.  Family birthday party post coming soon!

Here's Bobby at twelve months:

And, here's his twelve month post.
