Seven Months Old

Pictures each month are getting a bit tricky...

Luckily, a little tape goes a long way.

Bobby turned Seven months old on November 30, 2009.

Weight: 17.4 lbs. (on home scale)

Sleeping Patterns: Bobby's sleeping patterns are what to be expected at this age. He is still a great sleeper, but will usually wake up at least once in the night. He will most likely cut his first tooth soon, and I believe it is contributing to his wakings. However, he always fusses and falls back asleep (on his own) within a few minutes. The only times I go to see him in the night, is if he has a leaky diaper, or needs to be rearranged in his crib. We have pretty much dropped down to two naps a day, and I really like our new schedule. For the first time, I have designated times for his naps (9am, 1pm). Before, I was just going off of his cues. We are still ironing out some issues, but for the most part, he does great! Lately, his first nap has been the shorter one, and the late one is the longer one. His bedtime is still 7pm.

Eating Habits: Bobby is still drinking four bottles a day. He eats solids three times a day. He has eaten vegetables, and we are now working through fruits. I didn't start him on solids until he was about 5 1/2 months. I also gave him a sippy cup for the first time.

New discoveries & Accomplishments: Bobby has done so much recently! I really love this age. If he is fussy, it is so easy to distract him, and turn his frown upside down! Ha ha! He is sitting up on his own. He plays with his toys and is easily entertained. He sits in the bathtub now like a big boy! He knows what his mouth is. And, just today, he started to shake his head "no." I think he says "momma" sometimes when he cries. He sits in his high chair too. He tries to feed himself with his bottle and spoon. He is wearing size 9 months now, but still fits in a few 6 months clothes.

Places you love: Bobby is still pretty interested in all of his toys. He seems to be bored with his Jumparoo lately, but will play in it for a few minutes. He loves his Exersaucers, and playing with his toys on the floor. He likes his independence! He loves going for walks in the stroller, and is great in the car. He is also great with running errands too. His face is really starting to light up too when Daddy gets home from work (...not really a place you love, but I wanted to add that).

Special Friends: Bobby had a lot of fun playing with his cousins and extended family over Thanksgiving. He and Harper play together a lot at the park.

Current Events: White House party crashers, Afghanistan surge, Gators will play in SEC Championship, Christmas season is in full swing!

What We did This Day: We went to Kindermusik in the morning, and stayed in the rest of the day. It was rainy and cool outside!
