Half-way there!

Today, I am 20 weeks pregnant!

Bobby will hopefully be making his entrance into the world in another 20 weeks! As I am sitting on the computer this morning, I am feeling him like crazy! He's quite active right now. If Bob is around, I always tell him when I feel him. He is just dying to feel him too! I think he'll have to wait a few more weeks. It is so amazing, I love it!

Oh, I think I have found the diaper bag I want. It's the new Vera Bradley Baby Bag in Cupcakes Green. It is kind of pricey, but so cute! Of course it is green :-)

My neighbor and friend ordered furniture for her baby from JC Penney's. It is good quality, cute, and reasonably priced. We don't want to spend a lot of money on furniture, but we also want something that is safe, and durable. I have been scoping out their furniture, and we are hoping to order it in March. I have also been looking at bedding from Pottery Barn Kids, and JC Penney has a cute selection too. I need to check out Babies 'R Us. I am definitely planning on registering at Babies 'R Us, and possibly Pottery Barn Kids, if I decide on their bedding.

I'll be ordering a BOB stroller from work. I should be able to buy one at cost. They are great jogging strollers, and can be used full-time. I'll have to buy an infant car seat adapter, for the first 6 months of munchkin's life.

I still have a lot to look into and research. For any mom's out there, do you have anything you highly recommend? Do you know of any items out there that are a complete waste of money?

I've been reading your blog for a bit but never commented! Congrats on the newest family member! I had a little girl May 08 and I cannot put into words how amazing life is after you have a child. You are going to LOVE it!

I highly suggest a good glider. I have a Dutalier that I pretty much live in..it's the Matrix one..so good. A bit pricey but worth it.

Also, if you plan to breastfeed, I highly recommend a good pump. I ended up with a Medela dual pump. I used it everyday..until Sophia (my daughter) decided to wean herself at 3.5 months :( Oh well, I've got it for the next kid!

I also think having a good humidifier..I like the Crane ones (they come in different animals! a frog, penguin, cow..) is a must. It helps them breath better (you want a cool air one).

Good luck!

Thank you so much Autumn! I have no family here, so I need all the help I can get when it comes to registering. I appreciate the comment :-)

Register for the Boppy. A lifesaver! I still use mine with Madelyn. It is comfortable as a pillow as well :-)

We got our baby tub from Babies R Us and liked it a lot. I can't remember the name of it, but it is blue and you can switch to the other side of it when they are older and can hold themselves up.

Also, if you aren't breastfeeding, we used Dr. Browns bottles and they saved her from much gas pains!

Congrats!

Boppy for sure, great while breast feeding, nice to prop baby up when they get a little older, Brad even loved it when he held Tyson! Oxyclean to soak the many blowouts you'll be experiencing with your little babe. A nice glider is a heaven sent. I am one of those that never gave my babe a bottle so I have no advice there. I had the Advent pump and bottles from my sister and tried it once and it was not for me. Nursing was the best thing for us. Everyone has their different "must haves" and you'll discover your own. We loved having a changing table, I've heard a lot of people think they are a waste but we really enjoyed ours. I'm so excited for you guys! I can't believe Bobby and our little man will only be weeks apart! As I think of other things I'll send them your way. Oh one more thing, we loved the baby gowns. They are so nice during those first few months when you are changing diapers so often. No snapping or unsnapping involved just pull them up and you are good to go.
